Mengloth is the healing etin-goddess of Lyfjaberg Mountain in Jotunheim in northern-tradition myth, whose name means "Necklace-Glad" and who is a lover of jewelry as well as knowledgeable in herbs and healing. This tiny online shop, made up entirely of handmade northern-tradition goods, mostly made on our homestead, is dedicated to her. We will be adding more goods as time goes on; check back on us every now and then.

Website orders are processed through PayPal. Orders by mail or telephone may be processed by PayPal, personal check or money order (to Raven Kaldera). We do not have a storefront at our homestead, so if you would like to visit us, please call first!

International Orders: The PayPal shipping calculation for International orders is tallied per item, so if you are ordering many small items, email us for a shipping discount. If you are ordering very large or heavy items, additional shipping charges may apply.

All herbs are organically grown here at Cauldron Farm, and air-dried rather than oven-dried. We will soon be offering herbs and herbal preparations of various sorts, including tinctures, salves, soaps, and charms. Disclaimer: Of course we are not medical personnel and we are not prescribing anything. If you ingest any of these herbs, you do so at your own risk.

Recaning Sticks + Recaning Sticks +

While many modern Pagans prefer the smoke of the Native American white sage smudge-stick, the classic northern-tradition alternatives were Mugwort and Juniper. Mugwort, the first of the Nine Sacred Herbs, is the best smoke I've ever found for clearing and sanctifying a space, and it lends itself well to aiding in spae and spirit-work. The Mugwort used in making these recaning sticks is organically grown in my herb garden and bound with natural fibers. As you only burn a little at a time for smoke - I find that sticking them in a candle flame works best - they last a long time.

The word "recaning" (pronounced reek-en-ing) is the term used the modern northern tradition for what the Celts called "saining" and modern Native Americans refer to as "smudging". Incense for recaning is referred to as "recels" (pronounced ray-kells).

 + Loose Herbs +

Loose herbs come with suggestions for magical and medicinal uses, and northern-tradition charms to use with them. Our herb selection varies seasonally. We will be adding more herbs throughout the spring and summer as they come ripe and we can cut and dry them. Herbs are sold by the ounce, up to 6 ounces per herb.

We have limited quantities of the herbs marked with *, so no more than 2 oz per order, please.
