Join us to celebrate the height of the Sun. Ritual starts at noon sharp, so arrive by 11:30 or earlier. Children are welcome, with a guardian.
As part of our Summer Solstice tradition, we will be erecting another standing stone around the labyrinth after the ritual. Anyone interested in dragging summer bodily out of the woods may want to bring sturdy foot wear and possibly work gloves. Those who do not wish to help with rock moving are greatly valued for their blessings and praise of the stone. Drums, noisemakers, or any musical instruments are welcome and encouraged.
As always, there will be potluck afterwards. All guests are asked to bring a fully prepared dish that will not require reheating. Alcohol is permitted, in moderation, but does not count as potluck. Extra points for bringing yellow or 'solar' food. We should be done with ritual and feasting around 3p.

On Saturday the 17th, there will be camping, militia drill if there are enough participants, a ritual, and the choir singing. On Sunday the 18th we will be celebrating Mabon proper, with the daytime family-friendly ritual at 2 pm and the adults-only Wild Hunt at nightfall (around 7pm).
The Wild Hunt can be a spiritually and physically challenging experience, and is very likely inappropriate for kids. (Older teens, maybe, but you must call us first.) While folks new to Paganism are welcome at the Wild Hunt, please be aware that it is an intense ritual, involving symbolic human sacrifice, and for many participants, running around in the woods at night without flashlights. Since we missed Samhain, we will be having an ancestral theme, and a miniature altar \"table\" will be set up. For those who want to bring small dolls dressed to represent your ancestors (under 8\" high) you can add them to the table. You can also put small ancestral items on the altar to bless them. (You may use any inprepretation of \"ancestor\" that you like.)
This year's potluck theme is ancestral foods. This can be the foods of your genetic background cultures, or just what Grandma used to make. (This is just a suggestion - any potluck is welcome.)
There will also be a Yule log in the bonfire, and people can tie wishes to it with string. Part of the ritual will be outside and part inside, as we often do it, so bring warm clothing and boots for being around the fire in the field. (If you have a mobility impairment, please contact us.)
The Yule ritual is generally held regardless of the weatherm but we're praying it will be better than Samhain!
